April 30, 2017 – The 33rd Annual Asian Pacific Film Festival Presents The Bronzeville, Little Tokyo Concert – Union Center for the Arts Courtyard, Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, CA

Dexter Story performs his original music “The Afro-Asiatic Suite” with the Bronzeville Union quintet at the Bronzeville, Little Tokyo event on Sunday, April 30. The band features Josef Leimberg on trumpet, Josh Johnson on alto saxophone, Mark de Clive-Lowe on piano, Trevor Ware on acoustic bass and Dexter Story on drums.

April 29, 2017 – Future Fest March, Rally and Festival – Florence & Normandie and 81st & Vermont, South Los Angeles, CA

Dexter Story co-produces and co-programs “South LA is The Future / A29 Future Fest” march, rally and community festival on Saturday, April 29. The event commemorates the 1992 Los Angeles uprising after the Rodney King verdicts. Featured performers include Los Rakas, Medusa, Cuicani, Josef Leimberg, Mariachi Arcoiris along with DJs Sloe Poke, Al Jackson and Phatrick. Story is working with Revolve Impact, The California Endowment, Community Coalition and over 30 other community partners.
