October 10, 2015 – City of Inglewood Art Day – Inglewood Civic Center, Inglewood, CA

Co-hosting and moderating at the City of Inglewood’s Art Day at the Inglewood Civic Center on Saturday, October 10, 2015. Invited by arts activist Helen Lesick, I will participate as moderator of arts engagement panel and introduce Sista Jean and CB.

The City of Inglewood is celebrating Art Day on Saturday October 10, 2015 with presentations and commemorations from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Inglewood Civic Center, 101 West Manchester, Inglewood California. The free public event celebrates the City’s creative contributions with lectures, panels, music, food and fine art, and fun activities for adults and children.

The day long program rough breaks into a morning of art education and art history and an afternoon of community art and contemporary artists working with the City. The event closes on the front lawn of City Hall with a free jazz concert by the five member group, Sista Jean and CB.

Presenters include:

Jack Becker, Founder and Editor of Public Art Review; Suzanne Muchnic, arts writer and former art critic of the Los Angeles Times; architect scholar Abby Suckle of CultureNOW; and artists J. Malaika Beckford; Adwin David Brown; Tori Ellison with Dr. Dee, Diane Clayton-White and the Faithful Central Bible Church choir; Christopher Mercier and Dexter Story.
